4D has developed a modular unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) architecture to support the testing of diverse payloads with varying weights, sizes and center-of-gravity distribution. Battery size, location and configuration can be easily changed to enhance the flight characteristics and flight duration of the UAV platform. 4D has designed a family of UAVs that use encrypted command and control communications to ensure flight information and data is securely controlled and maintained by the UAV operator.
